Since the 1960's Ronald Edgar
Remfry (1918-2004) and
his son, Paul Martin Remfry, have built up a large series of slides
covering the development of castles in Normandy and the British
Isles. Paul is always willing to give talks illustrated by slide
shows on castles in general or under wider remits. From this Paul
can show you things like the development of castles from the early
pre-1066 motte and baileys like Richards Castle to the last of
the military forts like Aberedw. Other themes can be followed
like the military evolution of a district or county. If you do
not see the castle you are interested in please get in touch.
We can then see if it is possible to add your subject to the list
and so enable me to make a display for your group or society.
The many slides are listed below by county.
