Southrop
Another simple chancel and nave church, Southrop seems of some antiquity. The bulk of the nave consists of herringbone
masonry while the quoins are long and short work. The 2 are
separated by a fine irregular early Romanesque chancel arch.
There are early Romanesque windows and doors to north and south.
The font is trefoil and amazingly detailed.
A priest lived in the vill at Domesday and presumably served this church.
