Pitchford
This small church has herringbone masonry
on the north side of the nave beneath some well laid rubble courses
with a fine, but blocked Romanesque light in it. There are
large boulders built into the foundations of the structure.
The idea that this early church, as claimed by Wikipedia, 'was founded and built by Ralph de Pitchford in 1220 AD' is simply ludicrous.
