Debenham
At the time of Domesday (1086) 2 churches existed in
Debenham, although only St Mary's now survives. Of this the only
remnant would appear to be the tower which bosts distinctive long and
short quoins encasing flint herringbone work. There are also 2 Romanesque lancet windows in the south wall and a fine Romansque tower arch with the nave.
