Walton in Gordano Church

Walton in Gordano was another vill held by the Mortimers of Wigmore probably from 1075. By the twelfth century they had sub-infeudated the manor to the Bramptons of Brampton Bryan. Of the church not a trace remains, but the current parish church of 1839 overlies an earlier building which is thought to be secular.
