Highway Church
Highway was another vill held by the Mortimers
of Wigmore
probably from 1075. Similary the church was another early chancel and nave
structure. In 1952 it was converted into a residence and the font and
fourteenth century rood screen were removed to St Laurence's church at
Hilmarton.
