Rhuddlan Twthill

Rhuddlan Twthill is a large mound made primarly of sand.  As such it has collapsed rather alarmingly towards the River Clwyd which runs immediately beneath it.  A bailey is postulated to the east, but the remains seem hardly martial compared with the nearby site of Rhuddlan castle.  Indeed it is doubtful if the sand mound could have ever carried a keep.
