This is yet another castle named after the French Clermont or Chiaramonte family, although its origins could be older.

The castle stands at the northern edge of the town before a gentle slope.  It makes an irregular rhomboid with 2 D shaped towers to the east.  All 4 sides of the enceinte have internal buildings which have been converted into flats.
