Saumur
Saumur was a castle held by Gelduin Saumur during the reign of Count
Fulk Nerra of Anjou (d.1040). While Count Odo of Blois was busy
fighting the Lotharingians in 1037, Fulk attacked his ally Gelduin,
took Saumur town and forced the garrison to surrender.
